Astrophotos

Astrophotography is one of my hobbies. I started this journey while living in Tucson, Arizona, where the dark skies gave me the perfect opportunity to pursue it. My journey began with a used Olympus OM-1 manual film camera. Whenever I had the chance while doing observation as a student at Mt. Bigelow, I would set up the camera and experiment with different exposure times and aperture settings. It was very much a process of trial and error, but also one of the most rewarding ways to learn. Looking back through those old photo albums today brings a sense of nostalgia.

As digital photography became the norm, I eventually transitioned to using a DSLR camera, opening up new possibilities for capturing the night sky.

This gallery showcases a selection of images taken with my DSLR camera. All have been processed, with some created by stacking multiple exposures to reveal faint detail.
